Electronically Adjustable Exhaust Systems For Indian Scout
The Indian Scout has carried the same idea for more than a century, a lean American cruiser built to be ridden hard. Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde builds electronically adjustable exhaust systems for it, with three selectable sound modes controlled from the handlebar, available in street-legal configurations where applicable. For 2025 and newer Scout 1250 models, that system is the VOX.
One exhaust, three personalities. In Dr. Jekill mode the valve stays closed for a refined, discreet note, ideal for early mornings, residential streets and long distance riding. Dynamic mode opens the valve halfway for a deeper, resonant growl. Mr. Hyde mode opens it fully and lets the Scout speak with everything it has. You choose per situation, at the press of a button.
The VOX for the Scout 1250 is purpose built around the bike, with a 4.5 inch body diameter that matches the Scout's proportions. It is offered in two body finishes, black and chrome, with a choice of Streetfighter and Slashcut end caps in black or polished, so the system reads as part of the motorcycle rather than an accessory bolted to it.
Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde electronic valve technology lets you adjust the sound on the fly. One premium exhaust system, three distinct personalities, full control from the handlebar. Backed by a 4 year warranty.

The Valve
The Three Sound Modes
In Dr. Jekill mode, the valve closes and the Scout runs quiet and composed, perfect for early starts, residential streets, and rolling out of the neighborhood without announcing it. All of the character, none of the attention.
The Exhaust
Indian Scout (2015 to 2024)
Lean, blacked out, and unmistakable on the road, this generation of Scout earned a loyal following that has never needed convincing about what the motorcycle is. Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde has built for it since long before the 1250 arrived.
The same electronic valve technology applies here. Dr. Jekill mode keeps the valve closed for a quiet, composed note. Dynamic mode opens it halfway for a deeper growl with real presence. Mr. Hyde mode opens it fully and lets the V-twin run wide open. All three from a button on the handlebar, changed on the fly, mid ride, without stopping.
Premium materials, a finish built to survive weather and heat, and a 4 year warranty. On supported stock configurations, no tune, fuel tuner, or ECU flash is required. Available in street-legal configurations where applicable.

Sound Check
Hear All Three Sound Modes
Headphones or a good speaker recommended.
- Dr. Jekill Valve closed. Calm and low key, quiet enough for an early start or a slow roll through town.
- Dynamic Valve half open. More weight and presence than Dr. Jekill, without shouting about it.
- Mr. Hyde Valve wide open. The full V-twin bark, deep and bass rich, felt as much as heard.
The VOX
Indian Scout 2025+
The VOX is the electronically adjustable exhaust for the new Scout. A 4.5 inch body gives it the proportions the bike deserves, and the valve inside delivers all three sound modes from a button on the handlebar. Quiet when you need it, wide open when you want it.
Choose your body finish in black or chrome, then pick your end cap, Streetfighter or Slashcut, in black or polished. Four combinations of body and cap, so the exhaust matches how you built the rest of the motorcycle rather than fighting it.
Backed by a 4 year warranty. EPA and CARB compliant.

The answers riders ask most often about Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde adjustable exhaust systems for the Indian Scout.
There are two systems on this page because there are two generations of Scout. The VOX is built for the 2025 and newer Scout 1250, which covers the Scout Classic, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, Super Scout, and 101 Scout.
Riding a 2024 or earlier Scout, Scout Rogue, Scout Bobber, Scout Bobber Twenty, or Scout 100th Anniversary Edition? That is the other system. Check your year and model before you order, and if you are not certain, send us a message and we will confirm it with you.
On supported stock configurations, no tune, fuel tuner, or ECU flash is required. The system is developed around the factory setup of the motorcycle.
Already running other performance parts, like an intake or a fueling mod? Check with your mechanic or shop first, or reach out to us and we will help steer you the right way.
Absolutely. The valve position can be changed at any moment, and you can ride in whichever sound mode you like.
Move between Dr. Jekill, Dynamic, and Mr. Hyde straight from the handlebar control, keeping things quiet when you need to and opening up the note whenever you want to.
Our Scout systems are electronically adjustable exhausts available in street-legal configurations where applicable and engineered to work with the motorcycle's stock setup.
Local rules on street legality vary by where you live and ride, so it is worth checking the requirements in your area. Not sure? Get in touch before you order and we will help point you the right way.
Every system is fully plug and play. No cutting wires, no splicing. Follow along with the instructions in the box or the PDF on this page, so you always have two guides side by side.
For a capable mechanic it is a straightforward job. The exact time depends on your tools, your experience, and the condition of the bike.
Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde® systems are premium exhausts, built on serious engineering, quality materials, exact fitment, clean finishes, and electronically adjustable sound control.
Every system is developed for a specific motorcycle and built with advanced parts, including an electronically controlled valve that delivers multiple sound modes at the press of a button.
That adjustable control gives you what a permanently loud pipe never can: flexibility. Slip quietly through neighborhoods and noise sensitive zones, sidestep costly noise citations, and stay on good terms with the neighbors. Then, when the road opens up, switch to a deeper, more aggressive tone at the push of a button.
This is more than a muffler or another exhaust. You are investing in premium engineering, advanced technology, model specific development, real everyday flexibility, and a 4 year warranty.
