Manual Control Option
Manual Adjustable Exhaust Control
Select Harley-Davidson systems are also available with a manual control option, giving riders a simple way to adjust the exhaust valve by hand.
- Four-position rotary control: adjust the valve position manually instead of using the electronic ModeSwitch.
- Clean installation: the switch mounts discreetly on the motorcycle for a simple, rider-controlled setup.
- Model-specific availability: manual control is only available for select Harley-Davidson models and configurations.

The Valve
The Three Sound Modes
Valve Position: Closed
Dr. Jekill
Dr. Jekill Mode keeps the valve closed for a controlled and refined sound. This is the mode for early starts, neighborhoods, long rides, or anytime you want your Harley-Davidson to stay calm.
Valve Position: Half Open
Dynamic Mode
Dynamic Mode opens the valve halfway, giving your Harley-Davidson a deeper tone and more presence without going fully open. This is the balanced mode for everyday riding.
Valve Position: Fully Open
Mr. Hyde
Mr. Hyde Mode opens the valve completely for the deepest and most aggressive sound the system can deliver. This is the full Jekill & Hyde experience.

In most cases, no tune is required. Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhaust systems are designed for clean Harley-Davidson fitment without requiring an ECU tune on stock applications.
If your motorcycle has additional performance modifications, such as intake or fueling changes, speak with your dealer about the best setup for your bike.
The three modes are Dr. Jekill, Dynamic, and Mr. Hyde. Each mode changes the valve position inside the exhaust to adjust the sound and tone.
Dr. Jekill is the controlled setting, Dynamic is the middle position, and Mr. Hyde is the fully open sound.

Some Harley-Davidson systems are available from our USA inventory. Other model-specific systems are custom ordered and built in Europe.

Most custom ordered systems take about 2 to 3 weeks for delivery, depending on production and shipping timing.
Yes. A mechanically inclined customer can install the system. If you are not mechanically inclined, we recommend having the system installed by your dealer.
