Developing a Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhaust for a motorcycle goes beyond merely fitting a muffler; it involves the meticulous crafting of the perfect exhaust by our engineers. Through computer simulations and prototype development, we've designed an exhaust tailored for each specific bike. The culmination of these efforts is evident in our product—the Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde exhaust system, which has traversed a significant journey from the drawing board to the finished product known as The Exhaust. When the valve is opened, exhaust gases flow directly through the exhaust, generating the distinctive deep rumble characteristic of Mr. Hyde. Conversely,
when the valve is closed, exhaust gases are redirected through perforations to side chambers filled with damping. Upon passing through, they are channeled back into the exhaust, releasing at the rear and producing the quieter Dr. Jekill sound.
Euro 5 compliance
To ensure Euro 5 compliance for the electronically adjustable exhausts on 2 in 2 Softail models with OEM headers (excluding Fat Bob 114), a mandatory extender has been developed for the placement of the lambda probe. Positioned between the body and the end cap, this solution serves as a crucial upgrade to guarantee adherence to Euro 5 standards.

Modeswitch
The electronically controlled and adjustable system empowers riders to effortlessly open and close the exhaust valve using a handlebar-mounted button. Designed to withstand all weather conditions, the button is fully weather-resistant and features a convenient red light indicator that flickers when activated, ensuring user-friendly operation.
Smartbox
The electronic control unit within our exhaust systems serves as the central processing unit, functioning as the brain of our product. With the capability to interpret CAN bus signals from the engine's ECU, it initiates the system simultaneously with the engine and transitions into standby mode after the engine is switched off.
Servomotors
Upon pressing the modeswitch, the Smartbox transmits a signal to the servomotors, prompting them to adjust and position the valve according to the selected mode. With a dual-cable operation, the servo motors seamlessly transition between the open Mr. Hyde mode and the closed Dr. Jekill mode, or engage the 50% opened Dynamic mode. Equipped with heavy-duty cables and a 100% waterproof seal, the servomotors ensure robust and durable adjustments.

I love to ride along the shores of rardmer Lake (Vosges, France). A beautiful place full of walkers, cyclists and sports enthusiasts. When I drive here I always use the Dr. Jekill mode, which gives me the possibility to ride in stealth mode and not disturb anyone. But when I make my way back on the meandering roads of Col de Bonnefontaine I switch to the Mr. Hyde mode to enjoy the delicious rumble that echoes through the mountains around me and at the same time warn oncoming traffic that I am approaching. The Mr. Hyde mode allows me to communicate better with my motorcycle. Due to the different sound modes you get more feedback from your motorcycle, which helps, among other things, to signal when something is wrong with the motorcycle. For example when the tires have to be replaced. Mr. Hyde mode really wakes you up during a long drive or when I go off-road; it activates and motivates you. It gives you a real fighting mentality."
